A pretty non-eventful day. Woke up too late to hit the mercats so I went with it and just lazed around before heading to the train station. Not a bad thing. Diario de Espana - dias 4 y 5
Okay I have no idea what day it is right now which means I am in hyper vacation mode. Since I last wrote, I have been to the Museu Picasso and the Fundacio Miro and have also toured Barcelona extensively via the Bus Turistic. So many things to do here and I have really just scratched the surface. Tomorrow there shall be more Modernista architecture and some shopping to be had.

Diario de Espana - Dias 3 y 4
So yesterday was a long day. A 6 hour train ride from Bilbao to Barcelona. More of the amazing country side through the area called La Rioja. Yes where all the grapes for Rioja are grown. Espana Dia Dos - Dia Internacional de los Museos
So apparently today was International Museum Day which meant I was able to go the Guggenheim and El Museo de Bellas Artes for free. Nice but I would have gladly paid for the privilege to geek out at both museums. The art at the Guggenheim was less interesting to me but as expected the Frank Gehry designed museum is a feast for the eyes. Tomorrow I leave for Barcelona. Another 5 hour train ride....

10 Days in Espana - Day One
So after 9 hrs on a plane, a short cab ride, a 4 hour wait at the train station, another 5 hrs on the train, I am finally at my first destination, Bilbao. Manchester Orchestra performing “Virgin” from their new album Simple Math. The new record is a challenging listen in that you’re not quite expecting this from them. For me, Andy Hull’s distinctive voice lured me in, but it’s one that may be a grower for others. Catch them at SOMA with Cage the Elephant on 6/1.

I’ve been super busy these last few weeks and boom….my trip to Spain starts on Monday. I hope to have some time to put some posts out before I leave but who knows. Probably won’t have internet until I arrive in Barcelona so take care of the interwebs for me while I am away!
