Okay, I have a loaner laptop, but I might have lost my hard drive. Eek. It’s getting sent to our corporate office for them to have a look. But at least I can do some stuff. So I’ll try to catch up later.....
Tegan and Sara - I Know I Know I KnowSo I would normally have already posted my Street Scene recap for yesterday, but when I got home after Brand New, I ran into technical difficulties. My laptop wouldn’t boot - the fan is dead. Complicated by the fact that I am getting on a plane to go to KC today. Luckily, I am going into one of our offices and they can fix it there tomorrow. But still. In any case, I will still write a recap and photos eventually, if only for my sanity.

Brand New - You Don't KnowJust a warning....it’s the Annual Schmoozefest at work this week, plus my boys from TX are here so I won’t be around much until the weekend. Take care of the blogosphere for me while I am AFK.
Pinback - AFKI swore I’d get back to normal around here, but I’m at a work schmoozefest at the Gaylord Texan resort and am pretty unmotivated considering I drank about 10 cocktails (strong, vodka, open bar). I did eat a really good Kobe beef burger for dinner (I’ve decided I am only eating burgers in TX, you can’t get a bad burger in TX and they don’t compare anywhere else.) But yeah, a bubble bath and sleep is sounding good right now. Plus I feel very detached from home right now and I have missed a lot. Thank god for blogs or I would be way out of the loop. Ack. I am going to stop typing before I start to profess undying love or something like that. Hopefully, I’ll be back tomorrow but otherwise, I hope to be back on schedule next week.

The Smiths - This Charming ManI’m feeling pretty good about all the Christmas-y things I’ve accomplished with my time off. Today I will be spending time in the friendly neighborhood Kinko’s making color copies and then the post office. I’m dreading the post office, but once those CDs are in the mail, I’ll be a happy camper. I’ve taken inventory of all the things I need to shop for today and the list is pretty short. Hooray.

Back into the swing of my regular social life which meant Lamp. Kinda mellow in there. I think I was ready to get crazy tonight, but they were out of SoCo. ARGH! So I drank Stella instead but that didn’t really motivate me to do squat. Even singing felt half-assed. My trifecta was Siouxsie (Kiss Them For Me), Culture Club (Do You Really Want To Hurt Me) and Phantom Planet (California). Not bad songs for me, but nothing earth shattering either. Maybe it was the crowd. I had fun with Russ though. I made him sing Dynamite Hack’s version of “Boyz in the Hood”. That went over surprisingly well.
I think I am just tired. I had a long day at work and then I baked cookies for Trav’s bday while doing laundry, signing Christmas cards for work and burning Super Fantastic Mix cds. No wonder I am tired. Plus I have a million things going on this week. Cross your fingers I can make it through tomorrow without any meltdowns.
I’m finally in a Christmas mood though, so have a song in the listen section.
