The Kingdom is Still Magic

 Social Butterfly

Alright, so I go pick Ryan up and we are almost at the Washington Street exit off the 5 and guess what happens? Flat tire. Ryan busted out his boy scout skills and put the spare on and then we went to Costco to get it replaced. Which took about and hour and a half. So we finally get Boytoy around 1.45 and head up to the O.C. to spend quality time with Mickey and his friends. Traffic wasn’t bad so we made good time and were there by 3.30ish.  Went to Cali Adventure first. I don’t know how they talked me into it, but the first ride we went on was the water ride. Sigh. We didn’t get too wet, so that was fine. Then it was on to California Screaming and The Bug’s Life. Then we hopped over to Disneyland and went on Jungle Book to kill time before we went back to Cali Adventure for the Tower of Terror. That was great even if our guide was a bit too into his role as the elevator dude. We sat at the front, which was cool because we got the great view.

After that, we went to Downtown Disney to get something to eat. We were thinking House Of Blues, but the two hour wait wasn't gonna cut it, since we were all starving. The guys went to get our jackets in the car, so I went to ESPN Zone and got us a table. Dinner was great (steak salad for me, buffalo chicken sandwiches for the boys) and we all had a beer so we were all good to go for 3 more hours of fun.

We went on Pirates of the Carribean first. Then we did Splash Mountain. I don't know how they talked me into another water ride. And then I got the front seat. Great. I got soaked. Oh well.

But the best part was the Haunted Mansion dressed up as Nightmare Before Christmas. The three of us squeezed into one car. A little cozy, but that was cool because it wouldn't have been as fun without all the comments. Boytoy and I were totally into it. (Ryan hasn't seen Nightmare...WTF????) It was really cool and the highlight of the night. After the Mansion, I went and got some Nightmare souveniers - shot glasses for me and my sister, a keychain for her and some flair for my lanyard at work.

Then it was the mad rush to get on Indiana Jones. We did that with about 10 minutes to spare. So then Boytoy and Ryan booked it up to Thunder Mountain and rode that before the park closed.

We finally got to the car at about 12.30 (We had to cruise a gift shop as Boytoy wanted some Mickey gloves). Then it was a race to see if we could make it to the Lamp for last call. We totally made it back into Mission Hills on time, but we vetoed the Lamp and went to the 7-11 instead. My car needed gas and I needed some diet Rock Star and Boytoy wanted a Big Gulp.

So I drove the guys home and I am happily drinking my Rock Star and listening to the great show Travis is having. Hooray.

A Show, 2 Boys, and A Bar

Rawk Shows    Social Butterfly    Venus vs. Mars

I just have a few minutes before I leave to get Boytoy and Ryan so we can leave for Disneyland. I guess when I was drunk on Halloween, Ryan and I talked about him coming to Disneyland with us. Okay. The more the merrier.

Anyways...last night made everything clear for me. I went to the FM 94/9 anniversary party/GBV show and had to deal with The Guy I Really Like and Travis. So what are the odds that The Guy I Really Like and Travis get to the show at the same exact time? Argh. And the way they greeted me set the tone for the entire night. The Guy I Really Like said hello and then Travis comes up and gave me a HUGE hug and we were off to get drinks. Oh, and Midori got there at the same time, so I finally got to meet her. Nice.

So I was willing to give The Guy I Really Like the benefit of the doubt since he was subjected to me and Travis' public display of affection. So I attempted to go over and talk to him a couple of times. And he was having none of it. So I am done.

But I didn't let that ruin my night. I hung out with Midori and Travis all night. It was so fun. GBV played forever, but they were mostly background noise (albeit good background noise) to all the socializing that was going on. Heather was there for a bit. She looked great, as usual. And Garett and Halloran were there. Garett was having such a great time. It was cool to see him so happy (and drunk. Irish Car Bombs? Ouch.)

Oh and I had one randomly cool thing happen to me. When I was on my way to the girls room, a guy pulled me aside and told me that I looked really sexy. That was cool because I was feeling a little dejected about The Guy I Really Like and he just brought me back to reality.

Around 1, I convinced Travis we needed to have last call somewhere else. So we dropped his car off and tried to go to Pac Shores, but they were already closed. So Lamp it was.

We had a couple of Red Headed Sluts at the Lamp and watched the late night debacle karaoke. You know, "Baby Got Back", "Friends in Low Places" and the like by a bunch of really drunk people. Travis and I were singing along and both thought it was hilarious that we could sing along. Like, how did we learn the words to these songs, just by hearing them at karoake? Yep, that's it.

Good times. So there you have it. A really good night despite what happened with The Guy I Really Like. I guess I'll need to come up with a new nickname for him. The Guy I Really Liked That I Never Ended Up Having A Relationship With? Or not.

Outtie, Thank God

 Rambling

Well that was fun. I just had to leave everyone with enough to read since I won’t be here tomorrow. Maybe I’ll drop by later to tell you how the night goes. Cross your fingers that I don’t totally screw it up with The Guy I Really Like.
