Friday Show Previews
There is a ton of stuff going on in town on Friday. Just a quick rundown for those of you, like me, who will have to make multiple stops to try to make everyone (myself included) happy.
Fleet Foxes @ Casbah
This is where I intend to be for most of the night. Lots of comparisons of this band to MMJ. I’m not really feeling that from listening to the album, but I want to check it out in any case.
OAKS, The Dead Sea Effect, Someday Assassin @ Chasers
I’d be here for some serious stoner rock if I didn’t want to see Fleet Foxes.
Scarlet Symphony, tan sister radio, The Paddle Boat @ The Ken
I may end up here after Casbah. I’ll probably miss tan sister radio (hey, isn’t it gonna be past their bedtime by the time they play?) But I’ve always been a fan of Scarlet Symphony and seeing Gary and the boys do their thing would be the perfect ending to an evening out.
The Frantic Romantic ,The Fascination, The Beautiful View @ Zombie Lounge
I really dig on the Fascination. I really need to get out and see them more. But not this night.
Princeton, Rafter @ Beauty Bar
Looks like Princeton is getting some indie blogger nation love (MOKB endorsements always get my attention). I took a listen on their myspace and would definitely go see them the next time they are in town.
