Benzos Branches
I still haven’t listened to the promo copy that was sent to me (Tigercity’s fault, more on that later this week.) But the press kit tells me that it “combines the melodic allure of Doves, the sprawling dynamics of Explosions in the Sky, and the minimalist yet intense compexity of Aphex Twin.” So if any of that appeals to you, go get it. Mirah And Spectratone International Share This Place: Stories And Observations
I have always been a casual fan of Mirah (she always used to come up on my yahoo indie rock station.) I’ll definitely take this one for a spin.

The Exies - God We Look Good (Going Down In Flames)
The younger alt rock demo is gonna love this.
Fall Out Boy - The Take Over, The Breaks Over
Let’s see how many singles we can get out of this album. This one is one of the stronger songs on the album. (I totally disagreed with the leadoff single of “This Ain’t A Scene” but was down with “Thnks Fr Th Mmrs”. My favorite is still the last track “I’ve Got All These Ringing In My Ears...”
Foo Fighters - The Pretender
KROQ debuted this last week so of course it is all over the interweb.
H.I.M. - Kiss Of Dawn
I really liked their last album, so I’m going to be into hearing the new stuff. This was released on i-Tunes last week and the video is up here.
Marilyn Manson - Putting Holes In Happiness
The first single never broke the top 20, I doubt that this will do any better.
Static-X - Cannibal
Not seeing much noise about this one either.
