New In Stores and on the Radio
In Stores 11/6:
Angels And Airwaves I-Empire
While I really loved “The Adventure” and I like Tom Delonge’s post blink project way better than Mark Hoppus’, I’d say I’m not impressed by this new material. Hang it up, Tom. You’ve made enough money without subjecting us to more years of your whine on the radio.
Jim Ward Quiet
This is a 5 song acoustic EP from Sparta’s lead singer. I’m definitely going to pick this up.
Lisa Gerrard Best Of
All of my gothic brethren are hip to who Lisa Gerrard is. She was part of Dead Can Dance and This Mortal Coil. A musical 101 for new school goth kids and a great blast from the past for us claiming goth back in the day.
Sigur Ros Hvarf/Heim
New album from our favorite Icelandic atmospheric rockers is a collection of unreleased material plus acoustic studio versions.
The Frantic Audio & Murder
This is the debut album from young made-for-warped rockers from Chicago. Check them out on myspace.
Impacting on radio:
The Cliks - Complicated
Escape The Fate - Situations
Korn - Hold On
Meh for the ones above...the rest of these are interesting.
The Go Team - Doing It Right
Really? I’ll be watching for this to crop up on Hot Picks and/or the charts.
Saves The Day - Can’t Stay The Same
I’m always going to root for this band on the radio. Though none of their songs have been as catchy as their somewhat of a radio hit “Anywhere But Here”, the past two albums have been solid good listens.
Say Anything - Baby Girl, I’m A Blur
This is a great song and I’m really digging the album thus far.
