Noisettes at the BUT
I’m too dehydrated to write a long post about this show. (Ah, Pac Shores, you are my worst enemy...thank god for McD’s sausage biscuits and a ton of water.) I will say that you should believe the hype about how great the Noisettes are live. Wow. Shoniwa (their lead singer and bassist) is FIERCE. Her getup was classic - I couldn’t totally see all of it (vertically challenged that I am), but she had this headband in her hair that was sunglasses and Trav told me that she was wearing shiny stirrup pants. She totally dominated the stage and even made it into the crowd. I love that they started off with “Scratch Your Name”, which was surprising but also very kick a$$ since it got the crowd sucked in early. Other standouts were “Don’t Give Up” and “(Cannot Even) Break Free.”
The show was sold out, so congrats to KBZT for another successful “About The Music Series” show. Next up is Great Northern on 8/9 (Rosey and I are the blog sponsors again), so make your plans now to get tix for that so you’re not one of those people hanging out in front scrounging up a ticket.
Noisettes - Don't Give Up
