Release Spotlight: Bat For Lashes
Artist: Bat For Lashes
Album: Two Suns
Recommended if you like: ethereal pop
From the press kit:
“Natasha Khan of bat for lashes ain’t scared. I love the harpsichord and the sexual ghost voices and bowed saws. This song seems to come from the world of grimm’s fairytales, and I feel like a wolf.” - Thom Yorke
Standout Tracks: “Moon and Moon","Two Planets”
Worth a second listen?:
The indie rock world took notice of Bat For Lashes when 2007’s Fur and Gold was released. I was not a huge fan of the debut, but once I saw her live, I got it. Ok, it helped that Natasha Khan is easy on the eyes, but still. I think this album translates better than the first - it captures the essence of the live show perfectly. Two Suns weaves a story that you’ll want to hear over and over.
