Weekends are made for being busy…
Whew...it’s Monday and I’m trying to recover from the very busy weekend I had. I had a gazillion things to do. Mostly trying to get things together for my upcoming vacation. I had a great shopping weekend - I went to the Skechers store in PB to get some new tennies and ended up with 4 pairs of shoes for a mere $50. Oh yeah. And I got a massage on Saturday, which I really needed.
Socially, I was busy as well. Friday was dinner with Emmalee, Saturday afternoon was Norma’s daughter’s birthday party. That was super cool because getting a present for her gave me an excuse to go to the Sanrio store in Horton Plaza to get some new Hello Kitty stuff. Saturday night was The Gathering and Lamp with Emily, Shaun, and Boytoy. Emily and Shaun only stayed for one drink but Boytoy and I stayed until last call and then went to La Posta. Oh, and Kira finally got to meet Boytoy after reading about him forever.
Then the Sunday night thing...started at Gathering again with Emily, Shaun and Boytoy, then to BSC. Kinda slow night there and I am bummed that I missed Kipper, who is back from the Warped Tour. So after talking to Heather and DJ Drew and doing Drew’s nails again, I hung out with Le Mon and Ryan and his girl Jennifer for a bit. And somewhere along in the night Rand showed up and I made him do a red headed slut with me. But then I was out of there and went to the Lamp so I could sing a song. Tommy and Elena were there. I haven’t seen Elena in forever, so it was nice to see her. And they are so cute. I hope they get back together. So I sang a song for them. Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One”. But I don’t sing it with a twang like most people do. WTF? It’s a great little pop ballad, don’t ruin it by singing with a twang, you know?
So I rolled home before last call and talked to Joe for a bit and then went to bed at around 3am. And I got up at 6am to go to work. Woo hoo. But at least I get out of here early. Which is good because I must get me to the RAOK today to get tix to the Dresden Dolls at the Casbah tomorrow.
Okay, that’s it. Happy Monday!
