Travel Diary: Victoria BC

I realized I hadn’t finished writing about the end of my cruise. I’m bored at ORD so I will be productive and finish the narrative.

The weather on our last full day at sea was fantastic. I went for my daily walk around the deck and I noticed a few whales headed north. Pretty awesome to see and there must have been a pod of them as we kept seeing them the rest of the morning.

We didn’t arrive in Victoria until around 6.30 pm. So not much time to explore, but enough time to go on a quick tour and have high tea at The Empress.

We loaded up on our tour bus and had a quick drive around through Beacon Hill Park where we were greeted by peacocks and the tallest totem pole. Then we headed towards Clover Point and caught a fantastic sunset.

After that, it was off to the Empress. I already posted photos/descriptions on my food blog, so I won’t bore you here. If you’re into that sort if thing, it really was lovely.

We waddled out of the Empress and finished our tour where I finally managed an awesome shot of the Parliament building which is very pretty at night.

And that was pretty much it. We headed back to the boat to finish packing for disembarkation in Seattle.
